Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Inclusive Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services tailored to parents, pregnant persons, femme partners, children, adolescents, adult children of aging parents, caregivers, and their families within a supportive and inclusive environment. Your expertise will help foster resilience, promote emotional well-being and recovery, and support attachment and developmental needs through evidence-based practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across the lifespan while working within a collaborative, culturally sensitive framework. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and youth, utilizing appropriate medical terminology and documentation standards. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT, EFT, MBCBT, Somatic Experiencing, Psychoanalytic Theory, ACT, and attachment-based therapy for children and adults, & Maternal Mental Health care & trauma-informed care. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate behavioral management strategies, crisis management protocols, and case management techniques to support clients' mental health goals. Collaborate with educational staff to support students with special education needs or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team consisting of outpatient and inpatient clinics, EMT, RN, PT, OT, Oncology, PM&R, ENT, IPR, ICU, GMU, Hospice, Labor & Delivery, NICU, Psych, IOP, SUD, etc. Manage crisis intervention situations effectively, ensuring safety and providing immediate support using trauma-informed care principles. Maintain accurate medical records and social work documentation tools in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality. Engage in ongoing professional development related to adolescent development, child development, perinatal mental health, postpartum mental health, pregnancy, labor and delivery, birthing trauma, cultural diversity counseling, neurodivergence, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other specialized areas of mental health treatment. Qualifications Master's degree in social work field; licensure or certification as required by state law. LLMSW Strong knowledge of behavioral health concepts such as behavioral therapy, social work documentation tools, medical documentation standards, and crisis management procedures. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes for mental health disorders in children and adolescents as it compares to adults. Excellent skills in patient care, patient assessment, conflict management, and working effectively with perinatal and Postpartum depression, mood disorders, parenthood, and complex trauma from diverse cultural backgrounds preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and experience utilizing data collection tools for clinical purposes.
