In-Person + Virtual, Florida) About Embody Therapy and EMDR Embody Therapy and EMDR is a trauma-informed private practice rooted in nervous system healing, authenticity, and sustainable care — for both clients and clinicians. We specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, complex PTSD, and disconnection from their bodies, integrating EMDR, somatic approaches, and intuitive eating counseling, client-led care.

Position Overview We're seeking a licensed therapist in Florida to join the practice as a 1099 independent contractor, providing in-person sessions (Cape Coral area) and/or virtual therapy. Contractors set their own hours and build their caseload at their own pace — this is a genuine independent contractor role, not a disguised employment position.

Compensation:

60/40 split on private-pay session fees ($150/session) — therapist keeps $90 per session. Optional to panel with insurance if desired (not required). This role is ideal for a clinician who: Enjoys a mix of in-person and telehealth work Values clinical autonomy over rigid productivity models Feels aligned with trauma-informed and somatic approaches Wants the opportunity to build toward a full caseload in private practice, on their own timeline Qualifications Active Florida license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or actively working toward full licensure EMDR trained, or actively pursuing EMDR training preferred Experience working with trauma, complex PTSD, neurodivergence and disordered eating preferred Comfortable with both in-person and telehealth sessions Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
