Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outpatient Child and Adolescent Therapist - IV to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive outpatient therapy services to children and adolescents, fostering resilience and promoting emotional well-being. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve personal growth within a supportive, culturally sensitive environment. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents to identify individual needs and treatment goals. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-specific interventions, play therapy, art therapy, and motivational interviewing. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and best practices in behavioral health. Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Collect and document clinical data accurately in medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate with families, schools, case managers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care plans that support clients' overall well-being. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in child & youth therapy, applied behavior analysis, autism spectrum disorder interventions, and cultural diversity counseling. Requirements Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law for clinical practice. Proven experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient mental health settings; familiarity with child & family counseling techniques. Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy, psychotherapy modalities, trauma-specific interventions, and evidence-based practices for mental health conditions. Experience with data collection, medical documentation, mental health assessments, and working within clinical ethical guidelines. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and implement culturally sensitive counseling strategies. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, crisis management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring patient confidentiality. Skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism are highly desirable. Pay:
$40.00 - $65.00 per hour
