Hybrid—In-Person and Telehealth Position Summary New Direction YFS. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Outpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our growing clinical team as a full-time independent contractor. This hybrid position includes both in-person and virtual therapy services. We currently have consumers waiting to begin services, allowing the selected therapist to start building a caseload immediately. The therapist will provide high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and older adults. Primary Responsibilities Provide individual, family, and group therapy as assigned. Conduct clinical assessments and develop appropriate treatment recommendations. Develop, review, and update person-centered treatment plans. Maintain a consistent full-time appointment schedule. Complete progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and other required documentation within established deadlines. Monitor consumer progress using appropriate clinical measuring tools. Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, community agencies, and other professionals when appropriate. Participate in supervision, clinical consultations, staff meetings, and required training. Follow all practice policies, ethical standards, insurance requirements, and state and federal regulations. Maintain required productivity and actively participate in building and maintaining a consistent caseload. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field. Must hold an active North Carolina clinical or provisional license, such as: LCMHC or LCMHCA LCSW or LCSWA LMFT or LMFTA Licensed Psychological Associate Must be eligible to provide outpatient mental health services in North Carolina. Strong clinical documentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a collaborative clinical team. Reliable transportation and the ability to provide required in-person services. Ability to complete all required background checks, credentialing, and onboarding requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, or families. Experience working in an outpatient mental health or private-practice setting. Experience with trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and family conflict. Experience using electronic health records (but will train) Willingness to serve different age groups and diverse populations. Evening availability is a plus.
