Glö Behavioral Health About Glö Behavioral Health Glö Behavioral Health is a dual-diagnosis outpatient treatment program providing Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) services for adults struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our program takes a whole-person approach to treatment, integrating evidence-based clinical care with individualized support to help clients achieve lasting recovery and improved mental wellness. We are seeking an experienced, licensed Primary Therapist to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about treating both mental health and substance use disorders and who thrives in a collaborative, client-centered environment. Position Summary The Primary Therapist is responsible for managing a clinical caseload within our PHP, IOP, and OP programs. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, participating in utilization review processes, and maintaining all required clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and payer standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with co-occurring disorders, strong clinical and documentation skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. This position requires an active California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license.

We are not currently hiring associate-level clinicians (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, etc.), as supervision toward licensure is not available through this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans, treatment plan updates, and discharge plans. Provide weekly individual therapy sessions to assigned clients. Facilitate psychoeducational, process-oriented, and therapeutic group sessions within PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care. Provide family therapy and collateral support services as clinically indicated. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations based on clinical presentation and treatment needs. Conduct crisis assessments, safety planning, and risk evaluations as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations. Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other treatment providers to coordinate care. Assist with utilization review processes, peer-to-peer reviews, insurance authorizations, and medical necessity documentation as needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation including: Intake assessments Biopsychosocial evaluations Treatment plans and updates Individual therapy notes Group therapy documentation Discharge summaries Utilization review documentation Other clinical records required by regulatory and payer standards Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DHCS, Joint Commission, and company policies and procedures. QualificationsRequired Active, unrestricted California license as: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. Minimum of two years of clinical experience working with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Experience facilitating both individual and group therapy. Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment practices. Strong assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience working in PHP, IOP, outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment, or substance use disorder treatment settings. Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, DHCS regulations, and commercial insurance documentation requirements. Experience participating in utilization review and peer review processes. $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
