Job Description
Job Overview Brilliant Start Wellness is a licensed outpatient mental health and substance use treatment clinic located in Poway, California. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and clinically strong Registered Therapist (AMFT, APCC, ASW, or Registered Psychological Associate) to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. We provide structured, evidence-based psychological treatment to adults and young adults experiencing mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Our program includes individual therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and coordinated care within a licensed outpatient setting. We are looking for a clinician who is comfortable working in a clinical, organized, and collaborative environment, and who is committed to helping clients stabilize, build coping skills, and work toward recovery. This is a hybrid position, including both in-person sessions in our Poway clinic and telehealth services when clinically appropriate.
Responsibilities:
The Registered Therapist will:- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide weekly individual psychotherapy sessions to clients.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy sessions with other clinical staff.
- Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, and other standard clinical modalities.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and California regulations.
- Collaborate with counselors, case managers, medical staff, and program leadership.
- Participate in weekly clinical team meetings and case consultations.
- Support crisis intervention when necessary.
- Assist with treatment planning, progress notes, and coordination of care.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Must be currently registered with the California Board as one of the following: AMFT, APCC, ASW, or Registered Psychological Associate.
- Experience or interest in working with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring conditions.
- Ability to work in a structured outpatient treatment setting.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working both in person and via telehealth.
Work Setting:
Licensed outpatient clinic in Poway, CA.Hybrid:
In-person + Telehealth. Multidisciplinary clinical team with supportive supervision.Expected Hours:
15- 25 hours per week Benefits Clinical supervision (as applicable), professional development support, and opportunities for training and skill growth.
Pay:
$35.00- $40.
