56809BR System Test Analyst General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Poway California Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity for a System Test Analyst to join the GA-ASI Systems Integration Lab (SIL) team in Poway, CA. Under close supervision with on-going review, this position supports the SIL environments for multiple product lines. This role is technical and requires hands-on involvement in troubleshooting and repair, while also ensuring tight coordination with cross-functional teams, especially with other SIL team members supporting avionics systems, software, payloads, sensors, data links, ground control stations, test equipment, and ground support equipment. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and interdepartmental synchronization to ensure high performance and reliability in a regulated aerospace environment. Collaborates with other engineering members to resolve complex issues and provide feedback for the technical appraisal of the tested systems. Consults on the analysis and development of test standards and procedures. Contributes to the development of systems quality testing, operating methods, and processes. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies basic technical knowledge to synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Develops, modifies and executes comprehensive and detailed test plans, procedures and schedules for assigned systems. Participates in systems inspections, testing, verification, and validation of assigned systems. Documents tests and assists in modifying systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities and system configurations. May consult with engineers to resolve routine issues. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of systems and prepares system level evaluations. May contribute to the development/updating of test standards and procedures. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Other duties as assigned or required. Job Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must have a general understanding of systems test concepts, theory, and operations and experience demonstrating those skills. Must be customer-focused and possess the ability to develop solutions to a variety of non-routine problems. Must have strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences, including management. Must have strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide other employees and managers. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required. Prior experience working in a classified or ITAR-regulated environment is highly desirable.
