Job Description
The short version You work from home. Once or twice a month you come to Maryland for a day or two of in-person client sessions, and we pay for the trip. Everything else — assessments, program design, parent training, RBT supervision, documentation — happens over telehealth on a schedule you help build. If you hold an active Maryland LBA and want real clinical work without a commute, this is a straightforward fit. Who we are Lucentra Care is a small, deliberately unhurried ABA practice serving children and families in the Maryland region. We are not a volume shop. Caseloads stay small on purpose, clinicians get administrative backup instead of administrative homework, and treatment decisions belong to the BCBA doing the work — not to a productivity dashboard. We are early enough that the person who joins now will shape how we practice. Why the travel exists Maryland Medicaid requires that at least 25% of certain service codes be delivered in person each month for each client. We meet that requirement honestly rather than working around it. Your monthly Maryland days are scheduled well in advance — usually clustered into one trip — and Lucentra Care covers airfare or mileage, lodging, and per diem where applicable.
Roughly speaking:
1-2 days a month on the ground, the rest of your hours remote. What you'll actually do Assessment and program design Run FBAs, preference assessments, and skills assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Vineland). Build individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans, then revise them based on what the data actually shows. Supervision Provide clinical supervision to RBTs and behavior technicians — remotely for most of the month, in person during your Maryland days. Competency checks, feedback, training. Caregiver work Parent training over telehealth, with face-to-face touchpoints on travel days. Plain-language progress updates families can use. Documentation and compliance Insurance-ready notes, BACB ethics, Maryland LBA regulations, payer requirements. We give you the systems; you give us clean clinical reasoning. What we need from you Required Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB Active Maryland LBA license at time of hire — pending applications don't meet this, though we're glad to talk timing if yours is in process Master's in ABA, psychology, special education, or a related field Direct ABA experience with pediatric clients on the autism spectrum Experience supervising RBTs or behavior technicians Ability and willingness to travel to Maryland approximately 1-2 days per month (we cover the cost) Nice to have 2+ years post-certification Early intervention experience (ages 2-6) Comfort with insurance authorizations and documentation Telehealth parent-training experience Collaboration with SLP, OT, or other disciplines Pay and terms $70.00 - $90.00 per hour , depending on experience and case complexity Part-time or contract — build a caseload that fits your availability All required travel expenses covered Flexible scheduling; hours are set with you, not handed to you Continuing education support Referral program Path to expanded hours or full-time as the practice grows Schedule Core hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday appointments are available for families who need weekend flexibility, but they're never a standing expectation. Sundays are off for everyone. Travel days go on the calendar in advance. How to apply Send your resume through Indeed. If you're licensed in Maryland and curious but unsure about the travel piece, apply anyway and ask — we'd rather have the conversation than have you screen yourself out.Job Types:
