Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the nature and severity of clients' mood disorder symptoms, including a detailed analysis of their emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and circumstances, utilizing frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care techniques to foster autonomy and encourage adherence to treatment. Continuously monitor client progress, making data-informed adjustments to treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care for clients. Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines governing therapeutic practices. Participate actively in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives to hone your skills and stay current with advancements in mental health treatment. Advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and addressing stigma within the community. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clientele includes a diverse group of individuals facing various mental health challenges related to mood disorders. You will work with adults who experience depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and related issues. Additionally, you will provide support to vulnerable populations such as those affected by homelessness, domestic violence, and trauma, ensuring they receive compassionate care while working towards their mental health goals. Qualifications An active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating the establishment of a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients. A strong capacity for empathy and a nonjudgmental approach, ensuring clients feel safe and understood in sharing their experiences. Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseloads and associated administrative duties. Preferred Experience Prior experience providing therapy in a telehealth format. Familiarity with treatment methodologies specific to mood disorders. Experience in working with diverse populations and an understanding of the unique challenges they face. Interest in continuing education opportunities related to mental health and addiction counseling. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
