In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals across diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, and families. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. You will play a key role in conducting assessments, designing treatment plans, and delivering tailored interventions that promote resilience and well-being. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health and behavioral assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-specific interventions, art therapy, and play therapy. Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or other mental health conditions. Collect and maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines. Engage in case management activities including intake procedures, progress monitoring, and coordination with other healthcare providers or community resources. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change. Provide crisis intervention when necessary to ensure client safety and stability during urgent situations. Work collaboratively with families and caregivers to support holistic care approaches that respect cultural diversity and individual backgrounds. Experience Proven experience working with children, youth, or families in mental health or social work settings. Strong background in home & community care environments with familiarity in data collection and documentation processes. Knowledge of addiction counseling, applied behavior analysis, and clinical ethical guidelines is highly desirable. Experience conducting mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and trauma-specific interventions. Skilled in utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, art therapy, and group therapy modalities. Familiarity with working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and understanding cultural diversity counseling principles. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is a plus.
