Flexible scheduling available About Us Roots Counseling Center is a client-centered counseling practice made up of Christian psychologists, counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists dedicated to providing creative, collaborative, and compassionate mental health services for our clients. We believe meaningful therapeutic relationships are at the heart of effective counseling, and we strive to create a supportive environment for both our clients and our clinicians. The practice has been in existence for almost ten years and generates significant referrals from Chattanooga and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a licensed therapist to join our growing team.

Position Responsibilities The Therapist will:

Provide individual and couples counseling. Provide evidence-based, ethical, and client-centered therapeutic services. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with clients to establish meaningful and achievable treatment goals. Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with state licensing requirements. Participate in consultation and collaboration with other providers when appropriate. Participate in and generate marketing practices to grow not only the therapist's practice, but also the Roots practice. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a therapist who is: Compassionate and committed to building strong therapeutic relationships. Comfortable working independently while also being willing to collaborate with a small team. Dedicated to providing high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based care. Organized and able to maintain timely documentation. Open to working with a variety of presenting concerns and client populations.

Qualifications Required:

Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field. Hold a current state license as a mental health practitioner in TN or in another state for a minimum of 3 years. If moving, currently pursuing a license in the state of TN. Clinical experience appropriate to the therapist's level of licensure. Professional liability insurance Experience working with couples and individuals. Ability to pass applicable background checks and meet all state and professional requirements.

Preferred:

Experience treating a variety of life issues including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, boundary issues, or other common mental health concerns. Experience providing telehealth services. Familiarity with electronic health records. Why Join Our Practice?
