Program Director Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Therapist to join our clinical team in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The ideal candidate will facilitate two therapeutic group sessions per day, complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, and conduct biopsychosocial assessments and individualized treatment planning. This role is essential in supporting clients through structured, intensive programming focused on mental health and/or substance use recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate two group therapy sessions per day using evidence-based approaches appropriate for PHP/IOP levels of care (e.g., CBT, DBT, relapse prevention, trauma-informed care).
• Document group session content, attendance, participation, client response, and clinical observations according to agency, licensing, and accreditation standards.
• Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments to gather comprehensive information on client needs, history, and strengths.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with each client, ensuring alignment with assessment findings and level of care.
• Monitor and document client progress throughout their course in the PHP/IOP program, updating treatment goals and interventions as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and provide clinical input for treatment planning and discharge preparation.
• Uphold clinical and ethical standards, maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and professional licensure requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current licensure (or licensure-eligible) as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent in the state of Tennessee.
• At least one year of experience facilitating group therapy, preferably in a PHP/IOP or similar treatment setting.
• Familiarity with co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented treatment models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in clinical documentation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Proficiency in documentation standards.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Daytime hours with some flexibility depending on client needs and program structure
