Job Description
1. Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct initial assessments to evaluate mental health, addiction severity, trauma history, etc. Develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals based on client needs. Reassess and modify treatment plans throughout the stay. ? 2. Individual Therapy Offer one-on-one therapy (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) tailored to each client. Help clients explore root causes of addiction and develop healthier coping strategies. ? 3. Group Therapy Facilitate daily or weekly group sessions on topics like: Relapse prevention Emotional regulation Communication skills Grief and loss Encourage peer support and group accountability. ? 4. Family Therapy & Support Provide family sessions to address relational dynamics and educate loved ones. Help families create supportive environments post-discharge. ? 5. Crisis Management Respond to emotional, psychological, or behavioral crises (e.g., suicidal ideation, emotional breakdowns). Use de-escalation techniques and coordinate with medical staff if needed. ? 6. Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, addiction counselors, and support staff . Attend regular team meetings to discuss client progress. ? 7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed clinical records, progress notes, and incident reports. Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and facility standards (e.g., HIPAA). ? 8. Discharge & Aftercare Planning Help clients prepare for life after rehab by developing aftercare plans. Provide referrals to outpatient programs, sober living, 12-step groups, or mental health services.
