Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their mental health goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards. Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and evidence-based practices. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. Employ crisis intervention techniques to manage urgent situations effectively and ensure client safety. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate patient care. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and patient confidentiality. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and addiction counseling. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards. Skilled in crisis management, behavior management, grief counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and EMR/EHR systems for medical records management. Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics or individuals with co-occurring disorders in outpatient or inpatient settings. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse populations including those facing gender issues or chronic pain challenges. Ability to work independently or within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
