Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident in Counseling to join our dynamic mental health and behavioral services team. As a Resident in Counseling, you will engage in comprehensive patient assessments, deliver individual and/or family therapy. Your role will be instrumental in fostering positive change, empowering clients, and advancing your expertise in clinical counseling practices. Conduct thorough intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document patient conditions. Provide evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs. Facilitate individual and/or family counseling sessions focused on issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management. Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and document patient care using precise medical terminology and detailed clinical notes. Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or certification as required for clinical counseling practice; ongoing supervision for licensure eligibility preferred. Demonstrated experience with psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, or dance therapy. Familiarity with
