Work Environment\n This position is primarily remote, providing flexibility in your daily work schedule. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n\n Conduct in-depth and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of patients' backgrounds and treatment needs.\n Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient circumstances and cultural contexts, ensuring a personalized approach to mental health care.\n Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, enhancing patients' overall resilience and well-being.\n Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care that aligns with best practices.\n Provide crisis intervention and essential support during mental health emergencies, utilizing your strong crisis intervention skills to stabilize and guide patients in distress.\n Educate patients and family members regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their mental health journeys.\n Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a trusted and secure environment for patient information.\n Actively participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing your insights to facilitate comprehensive treatment approaches and cultural competency training sessions.\n Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health therapy to enhance service delivery continuously.\nPatient Population / Client Focus\n Your work at our clinic will be directed toward a diverse range of clients, including those from minority, LGBTQ+, and immigrant communities. Qualifications\n\n Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.\n A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia.\n A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and competency in culturally responsive therapy.\n Demonstrated experience delivering effective individual and group therapy in an inclusive manner, with sensitivity to emotional and cultural nuances.\n Proficient crisis intervention skills that allow for effective management of acute situations while maintaining professionalism.\n Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of building strong therapeutic relationships with a diverse clientele.\n Competence in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to track patient progress and outcomes.\n Commitment to ethical standards, maintaining professional boundaries, and upholding confidentiality at all times.\n A collaborative spirit, capable of contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes.\nPreferred Experience\n\n At least two years of direct experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a communal or culturally diverse setting.\n Training or certification in specialized therapeutic approaches that emphasize cultural awareness and inclusivity.\nCompensation and Benefits\n We recognize the value of our team members and offer a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, a retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, and generous paid time off (PTO) alongside holiday pay.
