The Mental Health Therapist provides therapeutic services including assessment, individual, family, and group therapy to support patient mental health and well-being. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans and support continuity of care across the patient population.THIS IS A PARTIAL YEAR, 20 HOUR PER WEEK POSITION LOCATED AT HOLLINS UNIVERSITY STUDENT COUNSELING CENTER. TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 8

The Mental Health Therapist Conducts initial psychosocial assessments to determine patient needs and appropriate treatment approaches. Provides individual, family, and group therapy to patients. Develops and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients across care settings. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, families, referral sources, and aftercare providers to coordinate patient treatment and discharge planning. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Maintains accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and contributes to care planning and patient progress discussions. Coordinates coverage and collaborates with team members to ensure continuity of care. Participates in continuing education and maintains licensure requirements.What We Require:
Education:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related clinical experience required. Licensure, Certification, and/orRegistration:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent licensure required or eligibility to obtain.Life Support:
None.Other Minimum Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to establish therapeutic relationships and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
