We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Technician (BT) in the Virginia Beach area who has experience supporting children. This is a part-time opportunity requiring afternoon availability. Candidates with availability beyond the minimum requirements are strongly encouraged to apply, as broader availability may provide greater flexibility for client assignments as needs evolve.

•Home Additional weekday availability is strongly preferred. The days and times listed represent the minimum availability required for this position and do not guarantee a specific work schedule, client assignment, or minimum number of hours. Actual schedules and assignments are based on client needs, service authorizations, cancellations, staffing, employee availability, and operational needs. While this position requires availability during the times listed above, occasional Saturday availability may be required based on client or operational needs. What You'll Do Provide direct 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Support clients in developing functional communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills Follow established communication protocols and treatment plans developed by the client's clinical team Collect accurate session data and monitor progress toward treatment goals Implement individualized behavior intervention and safety plans Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, and other members of the client's care team Maintain professional and compassionate interactions with clients and families Complete required documentation accurately and on time What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Additional weekday availability strongly preferred Previous ABA experience preferred Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred Ability to follow individualized communication programs and clinical protocols Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned service locations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional, dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Ability to successfully complete required background checks and pre-employment requirements Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Depending on client and service needs, the position may involve remaining physically active throughout sessions; sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and transitioning between positions; and responding promptly and safely to client movement and behavior. Additional job-related physical requirements may apply to particular assignments based on client and safety needs.
