Come Join Our Team! At Superior Behavioral Services we offer 1:1 behavior treatment and partner with Superior Learning Academy which provides individualized education to students with varying needs. Students work at their own pace towards individual goals set by their instructors in order to be met at their academic level. We offer a full curriculum including reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and social skills as well as music, art, and physical education. We are looking for a committed School-based Behavior Therapist to complement our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the support of a group of students and have passion for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust and respect. They will be able to support a classroom environment that makes learning an enjoyable and meaningful process.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Support students individually and/or in small and large groups to reinforce lessons and skills provided by teacher(s). Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support for students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in academic, leisure and social activities. Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as assigned by supervisor(s) Assist with behavioral management to foster both a therapeutic and school environment that is safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning. Actively supervise students in areas of the school throughout the school day. Interact in a beneficial, productive manner with students, teachers and other professionals. Support independent study and supplemental activities as defined by the teachers. Assist with daily hygiene, clean up, toileting routines, and any activities of daily living necessary. Follow all policies regarding student safety. Maintain confidentiality while behaving ethically and professionally at all times. Attend and participate in all trainings as required. Collect and record data on student behavior. Perform all other duties as assigned by the administration.

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
