Organization:
PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation CAD Position Overview:
Under general supervision, responsible for providing genetic counseling to all assigned clients. Oversee and participate in the counseling of patients on all genetically related matters including: risk assessment, overview of genetic testing, test results and implications, suggested follow-up and clinical trials enrollment. Works to continue to expand genetic testing and counseling services offered to patients. Responsible for maintaining professional relationships with referring clinicians, excellent patient service and educating both the community and clinical members on genetic counseling and testing updates. •Expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week•
Job Description:
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Master's:
Genetic Counseling
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
CGC-Certified Genetic Counselor
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE
2 year recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of clinical applications and standards necessary to provide comprehensive, current genetic services and counseling. Familiar with input and data retrieval on computer database. Good communication and interpersonal skills, good writing ability. Knowledge and experience in the area of teamwork with health professionals.

Genetic Counselor III Pay Range is $59.02 to $88.53 / annual salary. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
