Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Arcade / Pinball Machine Maintenance & Operations Technician to help maintain and operate a private collection of pinball machines, arcade cabinets, and console gaming systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about video games, pinball games and console games. Passion for this space is a must! You will have 2-3 years of experience maintaining or repairing arcade and/or pinball machines and will take pride in keeping the space clean, organized, and fully functional for guests. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with electro-mechanical systems and gaming hardware in a flexible, low-stress environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and testing of arcade and pinball machines Diagnose and complete minor to moderate repairs as needed Identify and escalate complex repair needs to the owner or outside specialists Maintain console gaming areas, ensuring all equipment is functional Keep the game space clean, organized, and ready for use (floors, furniture, surfaces) Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory of parts Perform occasional equipment moves/setup and minor facility upkeep Perform daily walkthroughs of the arcade floor to ensure machines, pathways, and common areas are clean, presentable, and safe Perform routine visual inspections of machines to catch wear, loose parts, or cosmetic damage early Document stats and maintain an ongoing dossier for each machine in collection Handle basic troubleshooting and escalate mechanical or electronic issues as needed Install, align, and secure toppers on pinball machines and arcade cabinets to spec Complete interior and exterior cabinet modifications — lighting mods, decal application, speaker upgrades, control panel work, and more Dust, wipe down, and sanitize cabinet exteriors, control panels, monitors, and surrounding surfaces on a regular schedule Maintain organized storage for parts, tools, supplies, and hardware inventory Manage restocking of supplies and consumables Manage inventory of machines, accepting new machines, cleaning and posting older machines for sale. Communicate space and project status clearly in SLACK Required Qualifications 2-3 years of experience maintaining or repairing arcade and/or pinball machines Basic knowledge of AV equipment, cable management, or smart home systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to keeping equipment clean Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with equipment positioning Flexible availability (weekday only and daytime work windows) Preferred / Bonus Skills Experience specifically in modding or maintaining Pinball machines in general.
