Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm eastern time zone.Responsibilities:
Work with the lab Genetic Counselor team to support clients that order testing performed at Invitae Respond to telephone and email inquiries from Invitae/Labcorp clients, health care providers, and patients (75% of the time is spent on the phone) Review orders for clinical appropriateness and perform outreach as necessary Contact clients to obtain pertinent clinical information and communicates with clients throughout the testing process Participate in or take leadership of particular operations and development projects as requiredMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a biological life sciencePreferred Qualifications:
1 or more years experience working as a Genetic Counselor Assistant 1 or more years experience working in a clinical genetics testing laboratory with next-generation sequencing 1 or more years customer service experience 1 or more years experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)Additional Job Standards:
Familiarity with genetic concepts Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond effectively Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly Excellent project management skills Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others and work cooperatively and effectively to set goals, resolve problems and make recommendationsApplication Window Closes:
