Responsibilities Lead engaging and instructional swim lessons for babies, toddlers, and children, adapting techniques to suit various skill levels and learning styles Ensure a safe swimming environment by actively supervising participants and enforcing safety rules at all times Communicate clearly with clients, parents, and team members to provide progress updates and address concerns Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive, respectful, and focused learning atmosphere Assist with pool safety procedures, including AED operation and first aid/CPR response when necessary Support the development of water confidence, swimming techniques, and safety skills through structured coaching methods Collaborate with team members to plan lesson plans, track participant progress, and improve instructional quality Communicate clearly and with enthusiasm at community outreach events which may include water safety talks and local community events Requirements Prior experience as a lifeguard or in water safety roles is highly desirable Strong swimming skills with the ability to teach various strokes and water safety techniques Experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction is a plus Demonstrated team leadership and coaching experience in sports or physical education environments Certifications in first aid, CPR/AED operation are required or obtainable upon hire Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education enhances instructional effectiveness Ability to manage behavior positively and foster a motivating learning environment Expertise in customer service is advantageous Join us as a Swim Lesson Instructor and help individuals of all ages unlock their potential in the water!
