Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated AHA BLS Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor to join our team. In this vital role, you will lead instructor-led training sessions, teaching life-saving skills such as
CPR, AED
operation, and first aid protocols to diverse audiences. Your expertise will empower individuals with the confidence and knowledge to respond effectively during emergencies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in community health and safety while honing your teaching and communication skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about adult education, possesses strong classroom management abilities, and has a background in emergency response training. Duties Deliver engaging instructor-led courses on Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and first aid protocols using adult education techniques Utilize first aid instruction simulation dummies and emergency defibrillation trainers to provide realistic training experiences Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with American Heart Association (AHA) standards and ensure effective knowledge transfer Demonstrate proper AED operation, CPR techniques, and emergency defibrillation procedures clearly and confidently Assess participant performance through practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid protocols, CPR guidelines, and AED operation procedures Facilitate classroom experience with excellent communication skills, ensuring all learners feel supported and engaged Skills Proven experience in adult education teaching, especially in first aid, CPR, AED training instruction, or related fields Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear instructions and foster an interactive learning environment Expertise in lesson planning tailored for diverse learner groups with varying levels of prior knowledge Familiarity with first aid instruction simulation dummies and emergency defibrillation trainers for hands-on practice Knowledge of first aid protocols, CPR techniques, AED operation, and emergency defibrillation procedures Public speaking skills that inspire confidence and motivate learners during training sessions Classroom experience combined with lifeguard or swimming experience is a plus for understanding water safety scenarios Ability to demonstrate excellent teaching techniques while maintaining a lively and motivational tone Join us in empowering individuals with life-saving skills!
