American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED & BLS Instructor (Independent Contractor•1099)
Qualified AHA instructors may be eligible to complete the American Red Cross Bridge Program at no cost.
Applicants must also: Provide their own instructional equipment for classes of up to 12 students. Have reliable transportation. Demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and exceptional customer service. Instructor status will be verified through the American Red Cross during the onboarding process. Responsibilities Teach classes in accordance with current American Red Cross standards. Create a professional, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Arrive prepared with all required instructional equipment. Complete the electronic class roster by verifying attendance and online course completion. Flagstaff, AZ and Phoenix, AZ Become Part of a Growing Nationwide American Red Cross Training Organization Save A Life CPR Training, LLC is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider with more than 100 training locations across 27 states. We are looking for professional, dependable, and engaging instructors to join our growing team. We don't just certify students—we prepare them to respond with confidence. If you enjoy teaching, have a passion for helping others, and take pride in providing an outstanding learning experience, we'd love to hear from you. Position Summary Teach the in-person skills sessions for American Red Cross Blended Learning courses held in professional hotel conference rooms.Our standard teaching schedule includes:
Thursday evenings: 5:00 PM•9:45 PM Saturday or Sunday mornings: 9:00 AM•2:00 PM As demand grows, additional weekday and daytime classes may become available.Each teaching assignment consists of:
Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Skills Session•2 hours 15 minutes Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills Session•2 hours 30 minutes These classes are typically scheduled back-to-back for approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes of instruction. If requested, a break between the two classes can be scheduled. We work with our instructors whenever possible to create a teaching schedule that is comfortable and practical. Compensation $250 for teaching both classes (approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes of instruction) Direct deposit within one week Ongoing teaching opportunities Many of our instructors teach with us on an ongoing basis, and additional teaching opportunities become available as we continue expanding into new communities. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have either: Current American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certifications OR Current American Heart Association Instructor certifications and be willing to complete the American Red Cross Instructor Bridge Program.Qualified AHA instructors may be eligible to complete the American Red Cross Bridge Program at no cost.
