Saturday Group Respite days are dedicated to community outings. You'll be facilitating enriching experiences out in the community with members that you serve. Duties Facilitating positive and enriching community outings. Observe and monitor members well being, ensuring safety when out in the community. Engage with members in meaningful activities that promote cognitive stimulation and social interaction within a group setting. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, sanitizing shared spaces, and adhering to infection control protocols. Document observations accurately in care records, communicate effectively with team members about residents' needs, and uphold residents' rights at all times. Build positive rapport with all members that you support. Support members with healthy hygiene habits and assistance when needed. Qualification Knowledge of developmental disabilities is beneficial. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required. Certification in Article 9 is required. A finger print clearance card is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds and support their individual needs. Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities supports success in this role.
