We ask that those who apply be able to provide safe, effective, and engaging one-on-one fitness instruction tailored to each client's goals and needs. Please note that many clients may be beginners. In this role, your passion for health and wellness will inspire and empower clients of all ages, including those with special needs or varying fitness levels, to build strength, confidence, and healthier routines. You will lead one-on-one fitness sessions that may take place in clients' homes. While fostering a commitment to fitness and overall well-being, you will help nurture confidence, discipline, and consistency. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate a supportive, inclusive environment where personal growth thrives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through movement, wellness, and individualized training. Compensation & Benefits $32.50 per hour - Full-time or Part-time Drive time is paid at $20 per hour Mileage reimbursement is also provided based on current federal reimbursement guidelines Administrative time is paid at $20 per hour (paid in 15-minute increments) Medical, dental & vision available for those who work a minimum of 30 hours consistently Paid sick time, paid training, employee discount, professional development assistance, and referral program Additional compensation details will be provided during the interview Duties Design and deliver engaging one-on-one fitness sessions tailored to diverse age groups, goals, and ability levels Develop personalized training plans using safe and effective exercise techniques for strength, mobility, endurance, flexibility, and overall wellness Assess client progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and consistency Maintain a safe and positive training environment that promotes physical activity, confidence, and accountability Support clients in developing proper technique, healthy habits, and long-term wellness goals
Professional Standards:
Adhere to all organizational guidelines, including safety protocols, company policies, confidentiality requirements, and standards of professional conduct
Travel and Scheduling:
Effectively manage a flexible schedule, demonstrating reliability and punctuality when traveling to in-home or community locations and maintaining professionalism in all settings Experience Previous experience in personal training, coaching, fitness instruction, or related wellness settings Proven ability to motivate and engage clients of varying ages and backgrounds Experience developing individualized workout plans that support fitness progress and healthy lifestyle habits Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm among clients A passion for fitness and wellness coupled with a commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive training environments Timekeeping and Administrative Responsibilities Additional Duties Requirements Please note because this position involves driving as an essential function and direct work with vulnerable populations, safety is central to our hiring process. Following a conditional offer of employment, we conduct a background check consistent with California law. This includes the nature and gravity of the offense, the time that has passed since the offense or completion of sentence, and its relevance to the duties of this role.

Given the driving and client-facing responsibilities of this position, offenses involving impaired driving (including DUI) and offenses involving violence are treated as serious safety concerns and are weighted heavily in our assessment.and review each case individually based on the nature of the offense, when it occurred, and its relevance to the responsibilities of the position.

Attendance Tracking:
Take accurate attendance for each session and document all completed sessions
Time Management:
Clock in and out of designated tasks using the company's scheduling system
Accurate Time Recording:
Maintain precise records of training and administrative time, ensuring compliance with company policies
Timely Submission:
Turn in completed timesheets and any required documentation by established deadlines
Clear Communication:
Notify administrative staff promptly of any schedule changes, cancellations, or issues affecting sessions
Incident Documentation:
Maintain thorough records of any incidents, injuries, or disruptions affecting client participation or session delivery Participate in regular training sessions and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance training skills and methodologies Attend staff meetings and contribute to discussions on program improvements, client support strategies, and service development Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure smooth scheduling and communication with clients and families Support marketing and outreach initiatives as needed, including providing testimonials, participating in community events, or assisting with promotional content
Incident Reporting:
Promptly report any incidents involving clients, including behavioral concerns, safety issues, injuries, or emergencies, following company protocols
Mandated Reporting:
Recognize and report signs of abuse, neglect, or concerning behaviors in accordance with mandated reporting laws and company policies Complete other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the organization's needs CPR and AED card required Strong fitness background, with knowledge of exercise technique, safety, and program development Experience training or working with youth, adults, seniors, or individuals with special needs is preferred Demonstrated ability to adapt to unique learning styles, fitness levels, and behavioral needs with patience and flexibility Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients and families Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes Ability to manage a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus but not required Competitive hourly pay for training time, plus paid driving time and mileage reimbursement Flexible part-time hours to accommodate your schedule Opportunities for professional development and growth within West Coast Sports & Fitness A supportive team environment committed to inclusive and adaptive fitness instruction We also offer a $150 referral bonus for trainers who refer a new trainer who then completes at least one session
