About the Role Do you enjoy working with young people? Are you passionate about education, wellness, leadership, or helping students discover their potential? Built Community Foundation is looking for Student Facilitators to join our team and make an impact every day. As a Student Facilitator, you won't just teach from a lesson plan. You'll teach, coach, mentor, lead, and inspire students through engaging classroom instruction, physical activity, enrichment, and hands-on experiences. You'll work directly with K-12 students, helping create an environment where they can learn new skills, build confidence, stay active, develop leadership abilities, and have fun. What You'll Do Teach Deliver BCF's curriculum through engaging lessons, activities, discussions, and hands-on learning. Make learning relevant, interactive, and enjoyable for students. Coach Lead sports, fitness, recreation, and physical activity. Teach teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, healthy competition, and wellness. Encourage students of all abilities to participate and challenge themselves. Mentor Build positive relationships with students and serve as a strong role model. Encourage confidence, resilience, communication, leadership, and personal growth. Help students recognize their strengths and potential. Lead Create a safe, positive, respectful, and inclusive environment. Manage groups of students and establish clear expectations. Work collaboratively with BCF staff, schools, families, and community partners. Grow Participate in BCF's required Facilitator Training and ongoing professional development. Learn BCF's curriculum, youth-development practices, safety procedures, and facilitation methods. Who We're Looking For We're looking for people who are: Passionate about working with youth Energetic, positive, patient, and dependable Comfortable leading groups and speaking in front of students Excited about education, sports, wellness, mentorship, or youth development Able to create structure while keeping students engaged Committed to being a positive role model Willing to learn, grow, and contribute to the BCF team Previous experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camps, recreation, education, or youth programs is preferred. Students and early-career professionals pursuing education, psychology, social work, health, sports, business, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Be Ready to Get Involved This is an active, hands-on position . Facilitators should be comfortable moving between classrooms, gyms, fields, and outdoor spaces and participating in physical activities with students. You may spend the same day: Teaching a lesson → Coaching a sport → Leading a fitness activity → Mentoring a student → Facilitating a team-building exercise That's what makes being a BCF Student Facilitator different. BCF Training Every facilitator receives BCF Facilitator Training designed to prepare you to confidently lead our programs. Training covers curriculum delivery, youth engagement, classroom management, coaching and physical activity, child safety, professional boundaries, conflict resolution, and BCF's mission and values.
