We are an established American Heart Association Training Site offering BLS, ACLS, Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid, and other emergency cardiovascular care courses. As we expand our San Diego course offerings, we are looking for a PALS Instructor interested in teaching recurring classes with our company. This is a flexible independent-contractor opportunity that can work well for nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals looking for additional income outside of their regular clinical schedule. course requirements and guidelines Maintain a professional and welcoming classroom environment Pacific Coast CPR handles student registration, scheduling, classroom space, equipment, course materials, and administrative support , allowing the instructor to focus primarily on teaching.

Qualifications Required:

Current American Heart Association PALS Instructor certification Current

AHA PALS

Provider certification Current AHA BLS Provider certification Strong understanding of PALS algorithms, pediatric assessment, respiratory emergencies, shock, rhythm recognition, and pediatric cardiac arrest Dependable, professional, and comfortable leading a classroom independently Clinical experience in pediatrics, emergency medicine, critical care, respiratory therapy, nursing, paramedicine, or a related field is preferred. Schedule We are initially looking for an instructor available to teach approximately 2-3 PALS classes per month , with the potential for additional classes as enrollment and our PALS program grow. Class dates are scheduled in advance and can be coordinated around the instructor's availability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a full-time healthcare position who would like to teach occasionally on a flexible schedule. Compensation $200-$250 per completed PALS class Compensation is paid per class, not hourly , and will be determined based on class enrollment. This is an independent-contractor position. About Pacific Coast CPR Pacific Coast CPR is an American Heart Association Training Site providing CPR and advanced life support training throughout Southern California. We operate training locations in San Diego County and Ventura County and are continuing to expand our courses and instructor team.
