Up to Two (2) Years Community Schools Grant Funded Classified Salary Schedule•Range 28 About the Position The Wellness Coach works directly with students to strengthen social-emotional wellness, build positive coping skills, address barriers to academic success, and connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources. Under the direction of the PUSD Safety & Wellness Coordinator, the Wellness Coach supports Tier 1 and Tier 2 students experiencing behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, peer, or other challenges that may impact their success at school. In this split assignment, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build relationships with students across both Ridgeview High School and Paradise eLearning, providing individualized support within two unique educational environments. What You'll Do The Wellness Coach will: Provide brief student check-ins and scheduled individual or small-group support. Deliver wellness-focused curriculum addressing topics such as relationship building, bullying prevention, stress management, time management, problem-solving, and life skills. Help students develop strategies to improve their social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success.
