As a Part-Time CPR Instructor , you will play a vital role in equipping YMCA staff and community members with lifesaving skills while fostering genuine connections, delivering exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching learning environment where every interaction matters. YMCA Trainers champion healthy lifestyles and reflect our organization's deep commitment to community well-being. Through engaging instruction and mentorship, you will help participants feel confident, supported, and prepared to respond in emergency situations. Foster Community and Inclusion Create welcoming and engaging learning experiences that build confidence, encourage participation, and strengthen connections among YMCA staff and community members. Ensure Training Excellence Plan and facilitate high-quality CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguarding, and safety-related trainings that meet YMCA and certifying agency standards. Maintain Safety and Standards Promote a culture of safety by enforcing training protocols, maintaining certification requirements, and ensuring training equipment and supplies are clean, operational, and ready for use.
Training Programs:
We are currently looking for individuals to train on CPR, First Aid and AED and Lifeguarding Certification through the Red Cross and a Babysitting program.
Training Locations:
Trainings may be offered throughout Orange County, including: Mission Viejo Laguna Niguel Fullerton Huntington Beach Newport Beach Tustin San Gabriel Valley Minimum Qualifications Minimum Age 20+ years old Education & Experience Minimum of one year of experience as a trainer in CPR, First Aid, AED, or Lifeguarding certification courses Experience facilitating group trainings and instructing participants in a classroom setting preferred Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills Ability to travel to training locations throughout Orange County Certifications Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor Certification Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Certification Certifications can be paid for by the
