Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage behavioral change and foster patient engagement. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, dietitians, and therapists—to coordinate care and ensure consistent messaging. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately to document patient progress, treatment plans, and nutritional analyses. Supervise dietary staff or interns when applicable, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices. Perform diagnostic evaluations and nutritional analyses to support medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for individuals with specific dietary needs. Support patients with tube feeding protocols, nutritional support strategies, and specialized diet plans for geriatrics or long-term care populations. Requirements Proven experience in health coaching, nutrition counseling, or clinical nutrition roles within hospital or long-term care settings. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and chronic disease management strategies. Hands-on experience with tube feeding procedures, dietary assessments, and developing care plans for patients with complex needs. Demonstrated supervising experience in dietary or clinical settings is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to motivate and educate diverse populations. Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and nutritional analysis tools. Experience working with individuals requiring specialized diets or medical nutrition support is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in hospital environments or acute care settings, including geriatrics and weight loss programs.
