Join our team as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in reducing tobacco use, improving health outcomes, and supporting individuals on their journey to becoming tobacco-free. What You'll Do:
a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;} Provide individual and group tobacco cessation counseling using evidence-based practices and develop personalized quit plans Conduct tobacco screenings, assess readiness to quit, and connect participants to resources such as the Connecticut Quitline Deliver follow-up support and relapse-prevention coaching to help participants achieve long-term success. Partner with healthcare providers to integrate tobacco treatment services into clinical settings and workflows. Lead community outreach, educational presentations, and training opportunities for staff and community partners. What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or a related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. Experience providing individual and/or group services in a healthcare, behavioral health, or community setting. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to build effective relationships with clients, healthcare professionals, and community partners.. Preferred Qualifications Experience in health education, prevention programming, wellness coaching, or counseling. Knowledge of tobacco cessation strategies and public health initiatives.
