In consultation with under the direct supervision of a registered nurse the lactation technician provides breastfeeding education support and assistance to families regarding treatment and care of patients. Additionally the lactation technician will assist nursing staff in the delivery of patient care in complex multiple problem breastfeeding situations to assist the mother in attaining her individual breastfeeding goals.Education:
