Full Job Description Job Overview:

Science Eye is a science and environmental education consulting company located in and doing most programs in Broward County but also serves and travels to Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. Looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated part-time science education consultant/instructor/educator. Using hands-on, inquiry-based, experiential programs, we enable students to explore the world around them, gain new insights and make them aware that science is an exciting part of everything they do. Our goal is to have fun while instilling self-confidence, develop critical thinking skills and to create a positive relationship with the environment. Duties:

• Mainly implement in-the-field programs in the Everglades and at the beach or other locations.
• But may also provide in-class programs, after-school, weekends, breaks, camps, birthdays and scouts are additional programs we participate in and/or offer teaching science concepts

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Passion for education and lifelong learning
• Valid driver's license
• Pass a fingerprint background check
• Be a U.S. citizen or foreign citizen's U.S. work permit
• Have the means to drive themselves with equipment throughout the tri-county area
• Have or will obtain 1st Aid/CPR certification To successfully perform within this position, applicants should be engaging, be able to work independently, effectively communicate, be able to work outside in the Southeast Florida's environments all day and be able to work with children who possess a diverse array of learning modalities.
