Group Barbell Coach (CF, Hyrox) Derby City Fit Club Louisville, KY Job Details Part-time | Full-time $25 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Gym membership Referral program Qualifications Behavior management Customer communication Training Team motivation (leadership skill) Adult education Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Group Barbell Coach familiar with Olympic weightlifting, barbell lifts, CrossFit movements, Hyrox training, and hybrid training to join our team. As a Group Barbell Coach, you will lead engaging, high-energy strength training sessions focused on barbell techniques, helping members improve their lifts, build confidence, and achieve their fitness goals. Your passion for fitness, combined with your coaching expertise, will inspire a community of motivated individuals eager to push their limits and embrace a healthier lifestyle. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your coaching skills while fostering a supportive environment for all participants. Responsibilities Lead group barbell training classes with enthusiasm, ensuring proper technique and safety for all participants Demonstrate correct lifting techniques for various barbell exercises including squats, deadlifts, presses, and Olympic lifts Demonstrate appropriate technique for adult gymnastics like handstand pushups, toes-to-bar, box jumps, kipping pullups, and jump rope. Provide clear, constructive feedback to help members improve form and prevent injury Foster a positive, motivating atmosphere Monitor athlete progress and adjust coaching strategies accordingly Requirements Proven experience coaching or instructing in strength training, CrossFit, or related sports disciplines Strong knowledge of barbell techniques and Olympic lifting fundamentals Willingness to work and lead a diverse group of adults with varied levels of fitness Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members Certifications or degrees in exercise science are a plus Background in sports is very helpful Ability to manage behavior and foster a supportive environment Love of health club operations or gym environments is advantageous Join us as a Group Barbell Coach where your passion for fitness meets the opportunity to make a meaningful impact!
