Job Description

Rockstar Coach Wanted — Mission Fitness & Nutrition (Part-Time) Part-Time (6-10 hrs/week to start) | Adrian, MI | Hourly Pay (based on experience and certification | Room to Grow We're not looking for a beast-mode drill sergeant. We're looking for a coach who genuinely cares if someone shows up. Mission Fitness & Nutrition is a small group personal training gym in Adrian, and we work almost exclusively with adults 40-75 who are done wasting time on gyms that don't know their name. No judgment, no gimmicks, no "no pain no gain." Just real coaching, real relationships, and a program that actually works because people actually stick with it. We're adding a coach to our training team, working alongside our Director of Training and the rest of the crew. This is a part-time role (6-10 hours a week to start) but we're not looking for someone to fill a gap for a semester or the Fall. We're looking for someone who wants a consistent schedule, a place to grow, and a team that's got their back long-term. As Mission grows, so does the opportunity leading to more hours, more responsibility, a real path forward if that's what you want. What You'll Actually Be Doing You'll run our small group personal training sessions (PeakFit), coaching real people through a program built for their bodies, their goals, and their stage of life.
That means:
Coaching 3-4 small group sessions per shift, giving real cues and real attention (not just counting reps) Noticing when someone's form is off, their energy is low, or they haven't been in for a week and doing something about it Building relationships with members who've tried other gyms and are hoping this one's different Following the Mission Possible Method, our proven, personalized approach to strength and functional training for the 40+ crowd What's In It For You A consistent schedule and steady hourly pay. No chasing clients, no feast-or-famine income, no burnout from the unpredictability of 1-on-1 training. Mentorship that's real. You'll train alongside our Director of Training and a coaching team that actually meets, actually talks shop, and actually wants you to get better. We invest in your growth. CEUs, certifications, workshops. Professional development isn't a buzzword here, it's one of our core values. Free training for you, discounts for your people. Train in the same facility you coach in. Bring your family in at a discount. A real path forward. We're a growing business built on EOS with clear roles, clear expectations, and real opportunity for the right person to grow into more hours and more responsibility over time. A team environment, not a solo hustle. Has Fun, Constantly Learns, Is a Pro, Team Player. These aren't posters on the wall, they're how we actually operate. Who We're Looking For Personable. Friendly, high-energy, and genuinely likes people, especially people who are a little nervous about being in a gym. Professional. Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented. Shows up ready. Batteries included. Self-motivated. You don't need someone standing over you to get things done. A pro in the making (or already there). Hungry to learn and become a coach people specifically ask for. A team player. Humble, honest, and willing to go the extra mile for a teammate, no exceptions. Detail-oriented. We'd rather you slow down and do it right than rush and do it twice. What You'll Need Currently certified (or actively working toward certification) as a personal trainer or strength coach CPR/AED certification required Comfortable with basic technique. You'll need to be willing to learn our systems (exercise selection, attendance tracking, scheduling, member communication) You genuinely enjoy talking with people and helping them feel good about showing up How to
