JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager or Director, the Lactation Consultant is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for providing lactation management services to expectant and new parents. These functions are performed in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies and standards.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Day Shift Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

- Masters of Science Degree in Nursing

Certification & Licensures:
- Licensed to practice in the State of Missouri

- CLC (certified lactation consultant

- BLS Certification

- Certified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC
- required within one (1) year of hire
Experience:
- Previous experience in maternal-child health nursing
- required
- Five years of experience in lactation consulting
