Suite 300. Mission University provides on-site parking, and is located next to a great coffee shop. Located in the central business district of Downtown Omaha Mission University assist in completing clinical rotations and internships that may be required for academic majors, while implementing sustainable, community-based health improvement projects. Partnering with national and international nonprofit humanitarian and governmental agencies to provide transformational experiences while supporting communities in need. Each program includes a portfolio project, certification, clinical/experiential, field-based learning, and is eligible for academic credit at the participant's home institution
Member Duties :
The Member will build capacity by expanding community outreach programs, foster partnerships with local health organizations, and provide essential infrastructure for the following sustainable public health initiatives. 1.
Community Health Outreach and Engagement:
VISTA members will coordinate outreach initiatives for college students studying medically-related majors with Mission University program representatives to help underserved communities. 2. Building Partnerships with
Public Health Organizations:
VISTA members will help create long-term partnerships between Mission University and regional public health agencies, non-profits, and local governments leading to more collaborative research, shared resources, and a deeper understanding of the community's health needs. 3.
Capacity Building and Sustainability:
VISTA members will improve and strengthen Mission University's public health infrastructure assisting with grant funding to develop sustainable programs.
