Program Manager Position Summary The Healthy Start Home Visitor (Perinatal and Parenting Educator) provides home-based education, support, and care coordination to pregnant women and families with infants. This role supports the Family Empowerment Project's mission to improve maternal and infant health outcomes through evidence-based education, relationship-centered services, and community collaboration. Services are delivered in client homes, the office, and approved remote settings (following successful completion of the probationary training period). Key Responsibilities Provide in-home education and support to pregnant women and families with infants Deliver evidence-based education on prenatal care, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, parenting, and infant development Conduct initial risk screenings, assessments, and ongoing Healthy Start home visits Coordinate referrals and follow-up to connect families with appropriate community resources Monitor participant progress to support healthy birth outcomes and child development Maintain accurate, timely documentation and enter service data into the client management system within 72 business hours Build and maintain relationships with community partners to support program outreach and collaboration Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and quality improvement activities Manage a flexible schedule that includes fieldwork, office responsibilities, and administrative duties Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or a related human services field; OR Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years of maternal-child health or related experience; OR At least 2 years of college coursework with 3+ years of relevant field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish, Arabic, or Dari)
Required Skills:
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Effective written and verbal communication Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency with Google Workspace and electronic client management systems Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Additional Requirements Successful completion of Level 2 background screening (local and national) prior to hire Valid Florida Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and FEP safety protocols Compensation This position is hourly for the first 90 days, then will transition to a salaried position upon successful completion of 90 day probationary period.
Starting salary:
