Nevada Cancer Coalition (NCC) is just that—partners working together to improve the health of Nevadans by reducing the burden of cancer in our communities. The Lung Screening Clinical Engagement Specialist is northern Nevada's lung cancer team member coordinating and implementing both provider detailing and community education in northern and rural communities. This position works primarily with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, clinic managers and health system leadership to improve lung cancer screening practices. In addition, they support state-based lung and other cancer screening strategies to work with partners, provide community outreach and education, and promote cancer prevention and early detection.ABOUT US

: The Lung Screening Clinical Engagement Specialist will have at least 2-3 years of professional experience working directly with healthcare providers, physician practices, hospitals, FQHCs or health systems. Success in this role requires the ability to build credibility with physicians and clinical teams, navigate healthcare organizations, and facilitate conversations about clinical workflows and evidence-based screening practices. They should be curious and solutions-oriented, asking questions to help advance program objectives, and mission-driven, with a passion for making a meaningful difference in Nevadans' health. The ideal team member will have a bachelor's degree in a health-related field, public health, education, or related field; exhibit confidence representing the organization in a variety of settings to serve as a trusted ambassador for NCC; have a valid driver's license; and enjoy being on the road, meeting people in different communities and occasionally working evenings or weekends for outreach events. This is not an entry-level position. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.WHAT WE OFFER
- Contract position for 20-30 hours per week
- Bi-weekly pay at $33 per hour plus mileage, hotel and other travel costs
