July 2026 Job Description When people come together and work toward a common cause, great things can happen! Nevada Cancer Coalition (NCC) is just that—partners working together to improve the health of Nevadans by reducing the burden of cancer in our communities. The Lung Screening Educator is northern Nevada's lung cancer team member coordinating and implementing both provider detailing and community education in northern and rural communities. The Educator works directly with primary care and other referring clinicins to provide information, education, and resources for identifying and referring patients to lung cancer screening. In addition, the Educator also supports state-based lung and other cancer screening strategies to work with partners, provide community outreach and education, and promote cancer prevention and early detection.ABOUT US

We support healthcare professionals with resources and education, collaborate with partners to develop evidence-based projects and programs, provide outreach for and access to cancer screening and prevention resources, and advocate for policies to improve access to healthcare for all. The Lung Screening Educator is someone who enjoys teaching others, is a confident communicator, and enjoys meeting new people and earning their trust. They should be comfortable presenting to audiences ranging from one physician in a clinic to a dozens of community members at an outreach event, with the flexibility to tailor how they deliver information to these different audiences. They should be curious and solutions-oriented, asking questions to help advance program objectives, and mission-driven, with a passion for making a meaningful difference in Nevadans' health. The ideal team member will have a bachelor's degree in a health-related field, public health, education, or related field; experience working with healthcare providers or health systems; exhibit confidence representing the organization in a variety of settings to serve as a trusted ambassador for NCC; have a valid driver's license; and enjoy being on the road, meeting people in different communities and occasionally working evenings or weekends for outreach events. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.WHAT WE OFFER
- Contract position for 20-30+ hours per week
