Must be willing to travel up to 30 miles in and around the Austin area! We are willing to hire the right candidate ASAP! If you live near Austin we encourage you to apply. In this role, you will provide expert breastfeeding support, education, and case management to new mothers and families, promoting optimal infant nutrition and maternal health. Your expertise will empower families to confidently navigate their breastfeeding journey while ensuring they receive personalized, evidence-based care. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on maternal and child health outcomes. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive lactation consultations, assessments, and individualized care plans for breastfeeding mothers and infants. Educate families on breastfeeding techniques, physiology, anatomy, and infant feeding practices through engaging presentations and public speaking engagements. Support multilingual families by providing bilingual services or translation assistance to ensure clear communication. Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate lactation support into overall patient care, including pediatrics and public health initiatives. Utilize data analytics and data analysis skills to track patient progress, identify trends, and improve service delivery. Manage cases efficiently by maintaining detailed documentation of consultations, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with medical terminology standards. Conduct community outreach programs, workshops, or seminars to promote breastfeeding awareness and public health benefits. Experience Proven experience as a Lactation Consultant with IBCLC certification or equivalent credentialing. Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently in public speaking settings. Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency are highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to lactation and infant nutrition. Familiarity with data analytics tools and case management software for tracking patient data and analyzing health trends. Experience working within public health frameworks or community outreach programs is a plus. Demonstrated ability to educate others through engaging presentations while maintaining professionalism in diverse settings.
