Mt. West Family Health Center is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and motivated Medical Weight Loss Specialist to join our Medical Weight Loss Program. This individual will serve as a coach, educator, and accountability partner for patients committed to improving their health through medically supervised weight loss. This is more than a customer service position—it is an opportunity to positively impact lives by educating, motivating, and supporting patients throughout their weight loss journey. Important - Please Read Before Applying This position requires extensive training and the development of long-term relationships with our patients. We are seeking candidates who are committed to this role for a minimum of one year. If you are planning to pursue another job, relocate, return to school full-time, or otherwise anticipate leaving Mt. West within the next 12 months, please do not apply.

Essential Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct weekly one-on-one patient consultations that are supportive, motivational, and educational. Educate patients on nutrition, healthy lifestyle habits, behavior modification, and weight management. Encourage patient accountability and long-term lifestyle changes. Recruit, enroll, educate, and motivate participants in the Medical Weight Loss Program. Prepare for patient visits and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately. Collect and document patient data, including weight, attendance, physical activity, and progress. Report patient progress and concerns to the Medical Director. Follow up with patients who miss appointments and reinforce the importance of maintaining consistent participation. Maintain educational materials, supplies, and program resources. Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering positive relationships with every patient. Assist with community outreach and program promotion as needed. Qualifications Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) —verbal and written communication required. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, Health Coach, Wellness Coach, or in health promotion, patient education, nutrition, fitness, or community outreach preferred. Demonstrated commitment to living a healthy lifestyle and serving as a positive role model for patients. Passion for nutrition, exercise, wellness, and helping others achieve healthier lives. Ability to motivate, educate, and inspire patients to reach their goals. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to communicate with empathy while maintaining professionalism. Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic medical records. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and perform routine office and clinical tasks. Why Mt. West? At Mt.
