About the Role The Skills Navigator is a guide, coach, and encourager — someone who helps participants move from "I'm not sure I can" to "I did it." You'll deliver our structured curriculum, support participants through daily learning experiences, and help them navigate both onsite programming and real-world community environments. This role reports directly to the CEO and is central to the culture we're building. What You'll Do Facilitate engaging lessons and activities that build independence, communication, social skills, and employment readiness. Support participants with patience, encouragement, and a strengths-based mindset. Lead community-based instruction (CBI) such as transportation practice, volunteer outings, workplace tours, and independent living skill development. Model calm, confident behavior and help participants navigate challenges with dignity. Build meaningful relationships that foster trust, growth, and self-advocacy. Document progress and celebrate wins — big and small. Collaborate closely with the CEO and team to maintain a positive, consistent program culture. Who You Are You're someone who: Believes every adult deserves respect, autonomy, and opportunities to grow. Shows up with empathy, patience, and genuine enthusiasm. Enjoys teaching, coaching, and supporting individuals in hands-on ways. Is comfortable in community settings and sees real-world experiences as powerful learning moments. Communicates clearly, kindly, and professionally. Values structure but knows how to bring warmth and creativity into the work. Has experience with autism, IDD, education, human services, or vocational support (preferred but not required).
