Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Wellness Coordinator to lead health and wellness initiatives within our community. This energetic role involves developing, implementing, and managing programs that promote physical, mental, and social well-being for diverse populations. The Wellness Coordinator will serve as a vital link between community members and health resources, fostering engagement and empowering individuals to achieve healthier lifestyles. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a vibrant, community-focused environment. Responsibilities Design and coordinate comprehensive wellness programs tailored to the needs of underserved and culturally diverse communities Conduct health education sessions covering topics such as nutrition, addiction counseling, public health policies, and preventive care Engage with community organizations to promote outreach efforts and increase participation in wellness activities Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document client interactions, track program outcomes, and collect relevant data for continuous improvement Provide client communication support through motivational interviewing, public speaking engagements, and personalized health coaching Collaborate with healthcare providers and social service agencies to facilitate access to medical services like Medicare, basic life support training, and other health resources Develop educational materials using strong writing skills that are culturally sensitive and accessible to diverse audiences Requirements Proven experience in nursing, social work, public health, or related fields with a focus on community engagement Knowledge of public health law policies, Medicare regulations, and community health practices Experience working with individuals with disabilities or from underserved communities; bilingual skills are highly valued Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for program planning and reporting purposes Strong understanding of health education principles, community outreach strategies, and data collection methods Ability to communicate effectively through public speaking and client interactions; experience with motivational interviewing is preferred Certification in basic life support (BLS) or equivalent; experience in addiction counseling or nutrition is a plus Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse populations while maintaining sensitivity and professionalism Join us as a Wellness Coordinator if you're passionate about fostering healthier communities through innovative programs and dedicated outreach.
