at State of Vermont in Waterbury, Vermont, United States Job Description Overview The Vermont Department of Health is seeking an experienced Public Health Program Manager to lead and oversee programs supporting substance use treatment programs. This role focuses on program development, compliance, and grant management to ensure high-quality treatment services for Vermonters. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are needed to facilitate coordinating multiple activities across many stakeholders are necessary. While most work is performed in the office at standard state hours, some travel for site visits is required. The Program Manager will collaborate with community partners, service providers, and government agencies to strengthen substance use disorder service systems and improve health outcomes. Environmental Factors Duties are performed in both a standard office and field settings. Private means of transportation must be available for required travel. Stress may be anticipated in dealing with emotional situations involving application of programs, especially in dealing with families and in the allocation of program resources.
