Role:
We are seeking an energetic, engaging, and structured Life Skills Coach to work 1-on-1 with our son, a friendly 17-year-old on the autism spectrum. He is very active, high-energy, and thrives when given positive direction and clear modeling. This role focuses on guiding his energy into productive, fulfilling activities—such as exploring sports, exercising, hiking, and developing practical life skills for independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and participate in active outdoor and recreational outings (hiking, workouts, learning sports). Model positive behaviors, routines, and task completion in real-time. Guide him in building practical daily living skills and personal independence. Provide constructive, clear direction while keeping sessions fun, safe, and engaging.
Qualifications & Qualities:
Experience working with neurodivergent individuals or youth on the autism spectrum preferred. Energetic, physically active, reliable, and patient. Strong ability to model skills, set boundaries, and offer proactive guidance.
