Full-time, Direct Hire About the Role A respected acute care health system in Saginaw, Michigan is hiring a Health Information Management (HIM) Manager. You would lead a team of about 45 people covering HIM operations, medical coding, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), and release of information (ROI). The position is open because the previous manager was promoted within the organization. What You'll Do Lead inpatient and outpatient coding, CDI, ROI, transcription, and chart completion Manage two coordinators, plus coding and CDI leads Improve DRG accuracy, case mix index (CMI), and SOI/ROM capture Own the department budget, HIM-related AR, and productivity metrics Maintain the integrity of the legal medical record, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory readiness Work with physicians, CDI specialists, and revenue cycle leaders What You'll Need Bachelor's degree (required) RHIA or RHIT credential (required) 3+ years of HIM supervisory or management experience in an acute care hospital Strong knowledge of DRGs and medical coding Epic and 3M 360 encoder experience preferred Why Apply A leadership role with broad scope and a well-established team Coders and CDI staff work mostly remotely, so the team is stable and experienced Competitive salary and benefits #
