HIM Manager - Health Information Management | Relocate to Saginaw, MI Confidential Healthcare Client | Saginaw, MI | Full-Time | On-Site Lead HIM operations for a respected healthcare system in Saginaw, Michigan — a mid-size Michigan city offering small-town affordability with big-city healthcare infrastructure. About the Role We're seeking an experienced HIM Manager to oversee clinical documentation integrity, DRG assignment, and coding optimization for a full HIM department including inpatient/outpatient coding, CDI, transcription, release of information, and document review. This is a hands-on leadership role directing a team of coordinators and coding staff, with direct impact on documentation accuracy, case mix index, and departmental performance. What You'll Do Oversee HIM operations including coding, CDI, transcription, and release of information Collaborate with physicians, coding staff, and CDI specialists to improve DRG accuracy Manage departmental budget and monitor productivity/AR performance Lead, coach, and develop HIM coordinators and staff Ensure regulatory compliance and integrity of the legal medical record What You'll Need Bachelor's degree RHIA or RHIT credential required (RN with medical record experience considered when paired with a credentialed HIM leader) Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience in HIM Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills Why Saginaw Relocating candidates will find a genuinely lower cost of living than most metro areas, no long commute stress, easy access to outdoor recreation, and a close-knit healthcare community where leadership makes a visible impact.
